FAQ

The plastic bricks from Denmark known as LEGOs have occupied many spare hours at various points in my life. Here are a few pictures of various creations (of varying quality) I've built over the years, plus three webvideos involving LEGOs in some way or another.

Architecture

Ishtar Gate of Babylon. A Roman circus, in which Judah Ben-Hur and Messala race. The triumphal entryway to the circus.

The "Parthelego" in its initial form. The Parthelego rebuilt as the Temple of Jupiter. Looking down on knockoffs of the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben.

Space

Two V-2s, approximately to scale with the minifigures standing beside them, representing the second and third V-2s fired at White Sands after World War II. V-2 #2 ready for launch. V-2 #2 towed along on a Mielerwagen.

Mercury-Redstone. Space shuttle Columbia on the launch pad. Looking up at Columbia.

Fantasy and Sci-Fi

The Fellowship of the Ring at the gate of Moria. An ornithopter, of the sort described in Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic Dune. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader square off.

A holographic Darth Vader addresses an AT-AT commander during the attack on Hoth. Darth Vader confers with his master, Emperor Palpatine. Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker during their confrontation in the cloud city.

"Join me, Luke..." "I am your father..." Luke hangs from one of the antennae on the bottom of the cloud city.

Han Solo and Luke Skywalker prepare to battle Jabba the Hutt's evil forces aboard a desert skiff. Luke controls his anger in his final confrontation with Darth Vader aboard the second Death Star. The Emperor electrocutes Luke.
